They were so kind helping us with our older GSD when we first got here. It meant the world that our vet knew about GSDs and didn’t shy away from him. When we had to put him down, they made it bearable for us. They incredibly empathetic and really helped us make it through.

With our new puppy, they have been great. We love that we can stop in for a quick weight check to make sure we’re feeding him well. They have been great when he’s gotten sick a few times, and I really appreciate that they go over a range of options, from the minimal steps up to the maximum. They don’t pressure you to make any decisions, and I feel like they’re honest when I ask how they would handle it if it were their own dog. I also appreciate the estimate we get before anything is done.

The people at the front desk are always friendly, and we love when they come out to pet our pup. The techs are friendly as well, and are awesome about getting a good idea of why we’re there. The vet we have is great as well. I always appreciate it when a vet gets down on the floor with the dog and really takes their time with the exam.

I recommend AAC to any who asks. We’re so thankful for them.

This place is the absolute best! Yes, its a business but they treat you and your animal as family. Ive been going here since my dog was a baby. She is now 12. They take great care of her. As she is a tuff one to handle they never disappoint . Also hats off to Dan and whoever was in charge of cutting shadows nails. They came out amazing! Ty so much best animal clinic around.

I have been bringing my cats to Arlington Animal Clinic for years for routine vet visits that have always gone well. Now that I have two seniors, they have more extensive and complex care needs. The vets at AAC have been fantastic in helping me with their various medical concerns.

They see Dr. Oppold and Dr. Avery, who are both fantastic and clearly care deeply about animals. I have a cat who is very large and vocal and can seem scary. He doesn’t like being poked and prodded at all and was treated roughly by a previous vet at another practice. Dr. Oppold treats him with the same care and compassion she shows my more sweet tempered kitties and take precautions, but makes sure that he gets the care that he needs. She is also excellent at explaining details about illnesses (he has early kidney disease), what to watch out for and what treatment will entail as the disease progresses.

Dr. Avery has started managing my other cat’s care that started with realizing something was wrong on the day of a routine dental appointment. He was concerned about the amount of weight she had lost and didn’t want to proceed with the dental procedure. We ended up running several tests that day and over the following month. When I told him that I received a quote for $6000 for an endoscopy he also recommended AAC’s internal medicine specialist, Dr. Fiocchi, who is excellent, and was able to perform the endoscopy for a fraction of the cost. Throughout this process, he and Dr. Fiocchi have done an excellent job of explaining what the tests show and what the next steps are.

Both Dr. Oppold and Dr. Avery are also conscious about the cost of care and understand that sometimes that needs to be considered. Dr. Avery has done a great job of explaining why certain tests should be done and whether they can be performed sequentially and how that will affect the ability to reach a diagnosis. I have never once felt like either he or Dr. Oppold were trying to upsell me or order tests or recommend medications that weren’t necessary. I am so grateful to have such excellent vets to make sure my senior kitties are getting the care that they need.

The Vet techs and front desk staff have also been wonderful and super helpful with answering questions, scheduling, ordering medications etc. They often have to relay information to the vet teams and have been great about calling back in a timely manner and following up to make sure questions are answered.

I had a wonderful experience with Arlington Animal Clinic. Everyone at the clinic was supportive and helpful. I am a new turtle parent and completely clueless. Staff at the clinic were very helpful in scheduling an appointment within a week of my phone call, they provided me with information on how to transport my turtle to and from the appointment. During my appointment, the doctor and his staff provided written and verbal information and was very patient with all of my questions and concerns. Even after the appointment Dr. Rogers provided me with additional information.
The clinic was also very pleasant visibly clean and clean smelling.
