- [Dr. Juan Fossas Espinosa](https://arlingtonanimalclinic.net/team-member/dr-juan-fossas-espinosa/): Dr. Fossas Espinosa was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and first moved to the mainland U.S. for college. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Later on, he moved to collegiate rivals at The Ohio State University to earn his doctorate in veterinary medicine (DVM). Following graduation, he completed a one year rotating internship at Tufts’ Foster Hospital for Small Animals in North Grafton, where he had the opportunity to practice alongside board-certified specialists in veterinary surgery, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, among others.
- [Dr. Daniel Rogers](https://arlingtonanimalclinic.net/team-member/dr-daniel-rogers/): Dr. Daniel Rogers grew up in Franklin, Massachusetts surrounded by his childhood animals and volunteering at two local zoos. At the University of Vermont, he worked at the student run dairy farm and received his Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science in 2018. He then went on to earn his Bachelor’s of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVM&S) at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2022. With his graduation he also became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS). Outside of his time at the clinic, Dr. Rogers enjoys going on hikes, reading, swimming, and relaxing at home.
- [Dr. Angelina Schultz](https://arlingtonanimalclinic.net/team-member/dr-angelina-schultz/): Dr. Angelina Schultz grew up in Yorktown, Virginia, a place you would only know if you are a US history buff. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biology at the College of William and Mary and went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University in 2012. She also completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship with Carolina Veterinary Specialists. After moving to the Boston area in 2013, she began practicing emergency medicine and family medicine at a variety of local hospitals. She also earned her certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture and currently practices a mix of Western and eastern medicine techniques, particularly for pain management. Dr Schultz currently lives with her husband, two sons and one dog (the only one that behaves of her three children). Dr. Schultz enjoys reading, gardening, biking and knitting whenever she gets a moment.
- [Dr. Amanda Oppold](https://arlingtonanimalclinic.net/team-member/dr-amanda-oppold/): Dr. Amanda Oppold grew up riding horses and having her childhood Labrador retriever, Cinnamon, pull her on a sled over frozen ponds in Hastings, Minnesota. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University in 2014 and covered equestrian sporting events in Wellington, Florida, after undergrad. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Oppold enjoys renovating old houses with her husband, reading as many books as possible, and taking walks with her Alabama rescue dog, Daisy.
- [Dr. Michael Avery](https://arlingtonanimalclinic.net/team-member/dr-michael-avery/): Dr. Michael Avery grew up in Cortland, New York, and attended Cornell University as an undergraduate in biology. After graduating, he worked in ecological research, first with northern flying squirrels and then Japanese giant salamanders, before beginning graduate research in invertebrate ecology and climate change at Penn State University. Hoping to combine his love of wildlife and interest in medicine, he began veterinary school at Cummings School of Veterinary medicine at Tufts University, graduating in 2018 and then completing an internship at Tufts Wildlife Clinic in 2019. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Avery loves to cook, eat, and carve wood.

Alongside her dedication to veterinary medicine, she treasures her family life with her husband, two daughters, and an array of furry companions. - [Dr. Jennifer Schickler](https://arlingtonanimalclinic.net/team-member/dr-jennifer-schickler/): Dr. Jennifer Schickler grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania, and received her bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College. She received her Veterinarian Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. Dr. Schickler joined Arlington Animal Clinic in 1997 and has been an owner since 2006. She currently lives with her three children, four dogs, and two rambunctious Maine Coon cats. Her interests include karate (she’s a BLACK belt), running marathons, crossword puzzles, and sea-glassing.

Dr. Avery is impressively knowledgeable about all things bunny and did a very meticulous job of checking my boy. Every part of bunny was thoroughly inspected. My boy is a big guy and quite cantankerous when handled. Dr. Avery commented that no bunny has ever bitten him so much. In spite of that Dr. A. was very gentle with him. Both Dr. A. and tech Haley were competent and personable with good bedside manner.
It is extremely difficult to find a bunny savvy vet and I have had less than stellar experiences in the area’s usual go-to exotic hospital. I was very impressed with the team at Arlington Animal Clinic.
My one wish is for the large waiting room to be divided into dog side and small animal side. It is easily done in their specific architecture and would relieve small pets of the stress of large dogs barking and interacting rowdily with each other.
