Veterinary Ultrasound
.
Abdominal or thoracic ultrasounds can be performed on premises so our vets can obtain an accurate and thorough diagnosis of your pet. Though your pet may have to be shaved for the procedure to allow for optimal viewing, the ultrasound is non-invasive and generally pain-free.
Ultrasound examinations are used to diagnose:
- Cardiac disease and response to therapy
- Intestinal foreign bodies, infiltrative disease and neoplasia
- Tendon injury, infections or adhesions
- Testicular and prostrate evaluation and location of retained testicles
- Pregnancy diagnosis, fetal evaluation and complete fertility evaluations
- Umbilical infections
- Soft tissue, neck, thyroid, parathyroid, tounge and mediastinal disease
- Hepatic, renal, splenic, adrenal, urinary bladder, gallbladder and biliary disease
- Abdominal and peripheral vascular malformations
- Pleural effusion, pleuritis and pleuropneumonia
- Joint effusions, inta-articular injury, osteomyelitis and neoplasms
- And more.
